Are you interested in commissioning a special piece of art, and you think Kyra's style is the right fit for your project? Please read the information here, and if you think this is the right match between artist and project we would love to hear from you! Commissions are highly restricted, only accepted after direct email discussion about the size and scope of a project, and that both parties feel it would be a good match.


  • What can I have painted?

Kyra is open to all sorts of projects, except for portraits of people. If you have a vague figure in your idea that doesn't need to look like a specific person, including appropriate classic figure-nudity, that is fine. Landscapes, abstracts, animals, surreal representation, and more are all welcome!


  • How does this work?

Let us know you are interested in commissioning Kyra to create this painting for you (using contact form below, or you can email us directly at  We will need to have an idea of what you have in mind, and size.


The initial deposit is a non-refundable 10% to lock in your commission slot, after we have agreed on the project. The studio will email  you an invoice (via Paypal) for the deposit after a clear discussion about the project, the current schedule and timeline, and acceptance of the commission.


After the deposit, when your turn has come up, Kyra will email you with details, and anything else needed (like a rough sketch or outline just to make sure everyone is on the same page.)


  • Do you get to direct other aspects of the painting once it is in process?

No, directing all the aspects of the painting won't be allowed. This is Kyra's specific style of painting, which you can see from her portfolio. You are commissioning her style and vision, with your idea and basic input. So, you expect something similar to prior paintings, but yours will be unique to your project. However, Kyra may have additional questions for you as the process moves forward, so please keep communication open as this is a fluid process.


  • Do we accept payments?

Absolutely! Most clients break their payments into up to four (4) installments for 9x12 or smaller, beyond the initial deposit, or up to eight (8) installments for larger sizes. If a different number of payments is needed, this can be discussed. There is NO additional fee for making payments. Paintings will not be shipped until the account is paid in full. 

  • What are your prices for commissions?

Prices vary based on the scope of the project. Here is a range, that is only a rough estimate based on the size, but the price could be less or more depending on what you have in mind.

5x7:       $650 - 900

8x10:    $900 - 1,500

9x12:     $1,500 - 2,000

11x14:    $1,800 - 2,500

14x18:    $2,200 - 3,200

16x20:   $2,800 - 4,000

18x24:   $3,200 - 5,000

24x36:   $3,500 - 6,000

30x40:  $4,500 - 10,000

36x48:   $6,000 - 1 2,000

40x60:  $10,000 - 15,000

48x72:   $14,000 - 20,000

60x72:   $18,000 - 25,000


  • What does the price include?

Prices include the painting, varnished, on a professional surface; wooden panel, aluminum composite panel, or a stretched canvas (depending on size and framing option.)


For a minimal additional fee, a frame of your choice from current stocked frames can be added  (based on size and type of frame, we can also order one in and frame it for you), and decided upon once the painting is done. If you choose to have us frame your commission, the painting will be framed and ready to hang upon arrival.


Shipping is a separate fee, but we only charge what the actual shipping cost is. We will provide a quote, but we can also give you dimensions and weight for you to check what that might be yourself if you would like. We ship worldwide with UPS, FedEx, USPS, and DHL. Shipments originate from Vermont, USA. Please note that international shipments will take longer than the standard 2-5 business days that the US currently promotes. We are not responsible for VAT or other customs and taxation fees.
